Blow up pictures Patch#
This is a whole process by itself, but it is most likely include some patch tool and healing brush processing to remove any left over contaminants (even if you cleaned it well).
However, it is very often that after scanning the image will need to be processed and prepared for print. To minimize this effect you could try to spray some clean air on to the image to blow off as much of the contaminants as possible and keep the image in a clean plastic bag (like document bag). However when you will scan the image they will pop-up. Micro contaminants are small pieces of hair, dirt and other things that are on the picture and normally can not be seen by the naked eye. The biggest issue with scanning and enlarging is that the print is most likely to have micro contamination on it. This will be sufficient for an enlarged 3 ft x 3 ft image.
A decent modern scanner that can scan at 300 DPI will create a 1200 x 1800 pixels image out of 4圆 inch.
If the only thing that you have is a hard copy you will have to scan it. We do large format printing, I can say for sure that 2,000 x 2,000 image can be printed well as 5ft x 5ft.
